Christoffer Diehl Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO), CEO Scandi Orthopedic
Christoffer Diehl graduated as a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) from the University of Jönköping in 2004. With over 20 years of experience, he is the founder and CEO of Scandi Orthopedic, specialising in the development of orthoses and orthopedic aids. He has been a pioneer in both human and veterinary orthopedics, focusing on custom and prefabricated solutions to improve mobility and quality of life for people and animals.
Christoffer began his career at Borås Hospital and in 2007 moved to Gothenburg to specialise in orthoses at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. In 2010, he partnered with Blue Star Animal Hospital, one of Scandinavia’s largest referral centers, gaining extensive experience in complex cases. He then developed new orthopedic treatments at Scandi Orthopedic. Christoffer regularly lectures internationally, combining patient-centered care with advanced technology, and is committed to evidence-based orthopedic practices.
Darren Barnes MA VetMB CertSAS DipECVS MRCVS
Darren graduated from Cambridge University in 2006, thereafter undertaking a one year rotating small animal internship at the Animal Health Trust, Newmarket. He then spent 5 years in general practice whilst studying for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery before undertaking three years of Surgery Residency training at Dick White referrals. He was awarded the Diploma in Small Animal Surgery by the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in February 2017.
Darren continues to pursue interests in managing both soft tissue and orthopaedic cases. He has been a keen proponent for the use of orthotics for distal limb injuries and has previous presented on the topic at the ECVS Congress in 2021. Darren is also a founding director of Stansted Veterinary Specialists – an independent, multi-disciplinary referral centre which is due to open in Essex, in Summer 2025.
